A Wirral Community Orchestra Partner Event

Summer SerenadeWirral Community Orchestra’s Summer Serenade Concert presents an evening of music to suit all tastes including music from the Mikado ( A. Sullivan), Nell Gwynn Suite Dances (E. German), Bouquet De Paris (arr. R. Hanmer), Selections from the Peer Gynt Suite ( E. Grieg) and a Beatles Medley (Lennon and McCartney), plus other popular favourites.

Wirral Community Orchestra is a friendly, amateur orchestra with a passion for making music. With a growing membership of over 50 players of all ages and musical experience, the orchestra is led by Musical Director John Modelski, a professional musician, teacher and orchestral arranger. John’s style of leadership makes rehearsals great fun whilst developing the musical skills of all players, encouraging the best performance from all. As a community orchestra we don’t hold auditions and always welcome new players especially brass and string players. We perform for local charities and hold two full concerts each year.
